Twenty‑five U.S. states have filed a lawsuit at the U.S. Court of International Trade over the newly‑imposed U.S. tariffs.
On August 3, 25 states brought legal action in the U.S. Court of International Trade to challenge the 10% and 12.5% Section 301 tariffs effective July 24. The plaintiffs argue the government is using forced‑labor concerns as justification to re‑impose broad‑based import duties. Meanwhile, the government maintains that the current measures are legally valid.
